The Festival

Every summer since 2005, the Peccioliper Foundation has organised the 11 Lune (11 moons) Festival, bringing a variety of musical, theatrical and other events to the Fonte Mazzola Amphitheatre throughout the month of July. The amphitheatre is constructed entirely of eco-friendly materials using the most advanced green building techniques and is inspired by a philosophy of maximum respect for the environment.

The festival is designed to be in total harmony with the surrounding landscape and the staging gives the audience a clear view of the surrounding hills. Amongst those who have graced the stage of Fonte Mazzola are celebrities from the world of entertainment of the calibre of Renzo Arbore, Salvatore Accardo, Arnoldo Foà, Gabriele Lavia, Giorgio Panariello, i Pooh, Gino Paoli, Massimo Ranieri, Danilo Rea, Riccardo Cocciante, Fiorella Mannoia, Antonella Ruggiero, Giorgio Albertazzi, Mario Biondi, The Kolors, Alvaro Soler, Barbara De Rossi, Amanda Sandrelli, Antonello Venditti, Michele Placido, Serena Autieri, Paolo Conticini, Sergio Muniz, Luca Ward, Claudio Santamaria, Stefano Accorsi, Giancarlo Giannini, Francesco De Gregori, Laura Morante, Pierfrancesco Favino, Gianluca Guidi, Giampiero Ingrassia, Filippo Timi, Patty Pravo, Max Gazzè, Nek, Francesco Renga, Giusy Ferreri, Toni Servillo, Stefano Massini, Noemi, Gianna Nannini, Glen Hansard, Madame, Isabella Ferrari, Biagio Antonacci. 

It is a festival that attracts about 15,000 people every year and is of growing importance in the calendar of Tuscan summer entertainment.

This year, 2024, the festival reaches the finish line of its twentieth edition and exceptionally the shows begin on June 21st. Special guest of this edition is Emma with her concert scheduled for July 5th. Over the course of these years, over 220 shows have been organized and over 300,000 spectators welcomed.
