Since the beginning of 2001, this research has taken shape in canvases and works on paper, of different sizes and techniques, consistent in enhancing the figure, human, animal, mythical, evoking and narrating each time a “complete world”, with an enchanted, happy or restless look, on beings and life. In this way, the encounter with the literary work of Dino Buzzati and Carlo Levi, and with the traditional heritage of fairy tales, also took place. Reciprocally, the painter’s work inspired in 2003 a story by Antonio Tabucchi dedicated to her, “Isabella e l’ombra”, which she later illustrated herself. Isabella Staino, born in Florence, lives and works in Livorno. Her work has been exhibited in prestigious venues in Italy and abroad, in more than 60 solo exhibitions and is visible on the website
