Together with the company Belvedere Spa and the Fondazione Peccioliper, the Municipality of Peccioli forms the so-called Peccioli System. Such a system made it possible to generate wealth, employment, environmental protection and social cohesion and create services and infrastructure for the community over the last twenty years.
Each component of the System plays a fundamental and complementary role: the Municipality is the body that directs, among other things, the policies of tourism development; the company Belvedere covers the planning and the organizational aspects; the Foundation Peccioliper deals with the artistic and cultural component of the system.
The MUNICIPALITY OF PECCIOLI is the institutional component of the System: it aims at continuously improving the quality of life of its citizens, playing the role of director and promoter of the various initiatives. It takes care of the enhancement of the territory and of its villages by investing in infrastructure and services, in order to make Peccioli and its hamlets increasingly attractive for residents and tourists.
BELVEDERE S.P.A. is the economic power of the entire System: it manages the Waste Disposal and Treatment Plant in Legoli, a strategic facility for the entire Tuscany region; it also deals with renewable energy resources and research. In the System, the company provides its skills in the development and management of innovative projects and the necessary resources to implement them.
The PECCIOLIPER FOUNDATION aims at developing the cultural sphere of the community, an integral part of a good life. It deals with organizing shows and events, running museums and libraries, offering educational activities at all levels, promoting art, collaborating with other bodies on a regional and national scale in order to boost the visibility of the territory and promoting reading and creativity.
