The villa was built in the 19th century on a previous building dating back to the first half of the 1200s; it still retains the typical features of ancient templar residences.

Over the centuries, the villa has had different owners but it has always maintained the original structure and look including terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed wooden beams, still evident today. Adjacent to the villa is a large garden which can be accessed from a staircase descending  from the piano nobile floor.
