A well-preserved stretch of the medieval brick walls of Peccioli is visible in Corso Matteotti, just before the Multipurpose Center. In their proximity, the Porta Pisana gate was very probably located, one of the ancient access ways to the ancient village.
The layout of the walls probably continued along the current via Borgherucci, via del Giardino, via Monsavino, via Bastioni, via Corbiano and ended in via del Carmine.
